No — every crystal is hand-set with the same high-strength jewelry adhesive used in fine Italian goldsmithing, then sealed individually. With normal wear and proper care, the crystals will last for years. Avoid water exposure and heavy abrasion to preserve them at their best.
We recommend keeping them away from prolonged water exposure. They're perfect for the beach club, the terrace, the piazza — but not for swimming. Light splashes will not harm them; submersion may loosen the crystal settings over time.
